Pledwick Cricket Club

Pledwick Cricket Club has two senior sides in the Pontefract and District Cricket League. The First XI plays in Division 4 after winning division 5 last season, whilst a youthful Second XI narrowly missed out on promotion from Division 7. Matches are 46 overs per innings maximum played on Saturday afternoons. We have a thriving Junior Section from U9 to U17 all of which have enjoyed great success in recent years and many league representative call-ups. 

The club also has a side that plays on a Sunday in the Last Man Stands League this is 8 aside and is played in coloured clothing this is treated more as social cricket and is open to people that cant always commit to Saturday cricket which takes all day. 

We currently has Under 9,11,13, 15 & 17 sides in the local junior leagues. Games are played on Sunday mornings, Thursdays, Sunday mornings, Mondays and Wednesdays respectively and practice on Monday evenings. We are Clubmark accredited and have a number of ECB qualified coaches. All our coaches have been checked in line with CRB requirements. For more information contact Andy Green, our junior manager.
