From the 18th of July 2015 Old Modernians' changed its name to Leeds Modernians'..

Leeds Modernians' Sports' Club was founded in 1906 from the old Leeds Modern School, now known as Lawnswood School.

HISTORY OF LEEDS MODERN SCHOOL

We run three rugby union, four football and two cricket teams at senior level. Football and cricket is catered for at junior level as well.

The Club plays host to Leeds Akkies rugby league fixtures during their summer season.

There is a thriving Social Section which organises various activities, including darts, dominoes, pool, quizzes, and local walks, throughout the year. They also organised the hugely successful Cookridge scarecrow event last year and hope to arrange it again this year.

The bar serves hand-pulled beer and most other expected beverages.
